Busy = Tired

Hello all,
So much has been going for the past month. I have been house hunting since July and put offers on 3 homes all of which failed. It was so competitive in my price range that I was determined to find my house. A week after I got news the 3rd house rejected my offer, I found a house that had what I needed and put in another offer. The 4th time was the winner.
My closing date was bitter sweet since that is the day I found out my craft buddy DG had passed.
I am looking forward to unpacking and settling in to the new home. Christopher and I have quite the to do list for the new home! It's a 4 bedroom which means I get my own craft room, woot!

Last night heaven received a truly amazing soul. Dg was a light to everyone she met. I will miss her smile, laugh and presence so much! Love you Dg!

i'm talking about this little guy who doesn't see me that much. i still get the crossed arms when i want a hug, but i chased him enough in circles for him to keep looking back to make sure i was following him.

The Last of the Terrariums

ok, not really since I don't think I can avoid not going to the flower shop. But these are the last of the gifts I made for Christmas.

I am going to stick with the air plants. so easy to maintain and adds lots of greenery to the home. 

i've been a bad blogger lately. super busy productive at work, not so much in the scrapbooking dept. I'm hoping to combine digital with cutting and pasting to fast track Skylar's year 5-10. Also need to get on my sister's case to take more photos of Seth since he has yet to be scrapbooked.

Had an awesome New Year's Day. Got rid of some old stuff to make room for the new. Plus, I hemmed 2 pair of jeans I got for Christmas which was a huge accomplishment for me. Woot, woot!

this little guy is something else. i would try to hold him and he would cross his arms. what a stinker! you know what makes him happy....cell phones. he could be balling his eyes out, but just show him your cell phone and he snaps right out of it.

Merry Christmas 2012

We've spent the holidays so far with Merritt, Barbara, Dave and Pam last Sunday, yesterday with Christopher's dad and family in Chehalis and today with my family in Bonney Lake. This Saturday will be with Christopher's mom, Fred, Kelly and Steve in Wenatchee. 

Here's a little gift Victoria made for me. She calls it a stuffit. I call it a coin purse because it houses my laundry money. I love the feel of the wool and the triangles add a modern touch.

I love busy work....most of the time

if you ask christopher what makes sandy happy over the weekend, the answer would be sleeping in late and then being productive busy around the home. i like to even out busyness with relaxation.
my latest project has been reupholstering two chairs my sister gave me. even though i don't have room for them i won't toss or give away because i love the shape of the chairs so much.
it was hard work to strip the chairs down. whoever did the job before....well done on over stapling the hell out of them.

and made it this far. still need to do the backing and nice up the wood.

we stripped both chairs and finished reupholstering the seats. just waiting until after the holidays to finish.

Quick Cards

Whipped up 2 cards using seam binding I had on hand that I misted with blue and green tattered angels chalkboard spray. I like the way it adds a little something to my very simple card. Both for coworkers that I needed quick.
