over at 2peas i participated in a food challenge scrapbook layout. i did one on a food memory namely splitz grill in vancouver, b.c. (best hamburger i have ever eaten!) i can't wait to go back and have another one.

I'm a Zipster

Back in February I won a free zipcar rental from the member's bowling party up at Garage on Capital Hill. Well my credits expire at the end of May, so I booked a car for Sunday and Christopher and I drove out to Mt. Rainier. Sunrise was closed due to snow so we drove out to Chinook Pass which recently opened.

I got to drive a speedy little Audi and boy can it accelerate! Christopher wanted to use the restroom but you needed a shovel just to find the door.

here's a little share from NSD at scrapbook.com. the challenge was to use a mask and spray. i had this sunburst forever and never used, go figure! well, i love the results!

Giveaway Friday

My Mind's Eye - Hole in One

This is a layout I made for the My Mind's Eye May Challenge. (Use feminine products on a boy layout.)
My background is from the Lost & Found line. I cut the trees from the Be Merry line and made it into a banner. I then matted the photos from the Tres Jollie line and embellished from the Be Amazing Rhonna Line. I also used the packaging from Rhonna's button collection to trace a label. My finishing touch is the confetti on the bottom for a festive look.

what a day!

my job worked me like a dog! man, my legs felt like they were going to collapse. my coworker called out sick and i had to cover for him. lucky him, it was a hella busy!
my bus ride home, i plugged into my mp3 player and seriously washed away all my stress from the day (nirvana- bleach album)
i got home, cleaned the apt., opened the internet and what do you know i spent an hour on the 2peas blog hop for the garden digest. seriously makes me happy seeing all the inspiration over there.

i have changed my tunes to techno and am enjoying chair dancing while surfing.

this was a layout i made at scrapbook.com for NSD. we had to use their sketch as an example and this is what i came up with.

I made this layout for the spring splurge challenge (week 3 -fashion)

I had a sequin blue arrow by Heidi Swapp and liked the back side better.

Off we go...

Today was the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Show at the Puyallup fairgrounds. I met up with Adora and we headed south stopping at Paper Muse in Sumner and Ben Franklin in Bonney Lake. The show was much smaller than I remember 10 years ago! Not many exhibitors and only one booth really tickled my fancy...thank you Bello Modo. I found those tiny wood veneer of stars, people and travel items from Studio Calico.

Once we finished there we headed back north to Tukwila where we hit up Impress Rubberstamps and I threw down a wad of cash. I had money to spend and the stamp show didn't cut it for me!

So with my bag full of goodies, I should have some new creations to share shortly. Please Hold :)
